Razia’s Shadow is a musical, but it’s not a play or a movie, merely an album by a band called Forgive Durden. One of my favorites. Listening to it recently I began to see parallels between the story portrayed in the musical and the characters in the show Supernatural. I took that idea and created a picspam, illustrating my views and comparing the characters of the musical to the ones in the show. Here, I follow Sam Winchester’s storyline with the aid of basic plot and lyrics from the album. It’s chronologically ordered in terms of the show (spoilers for seasons three, four, and five), but skips around the musical’s storyline. the evil and darkness will grow.

there is something not right here.
I can’t place my finger on it,
but this young man’s filled with darkness.

10. Holy the Sea

It’s a story you may have heard before,
but this translation is clear
unlike the embellishments that have reached your ears.

The strongest man would drop dead where he stands,
I urge that we make haste
if we are to stand a chance.

12. The End and the Beginning

You will take care of this spinning sphere,
I’ll disappear
and see you in the mirror.
