Evil is Sexy: A Look at Buffyverse Villains
General spoilers for all of Buffy and Angel
In this picspam I will illustrate the many ways in which the _ is demonstrated through the villains of Buffy and Angel. Some spoilers, maturiosity, and deliciousness located below. Enjoy the show.
I'll start from Season 2 Buffy, with the de-souling of Angel. For some reason, Angelus always seemed sexier than Angel to me; maybe having to do with the him actually smiling thing, or the subtle-but-obvious usage of makeup.
Spike: sexiest villain in my opinion. His humor mixed with his attitude and his vair vair awesome muscles make him one extremely hot vampire. Have you seen Season 6? Yeah? Yeah. Also, it takes a lot to make me like leather and smoking.
Drusilla was sexy in a crazy, insane, talk-to-herself murderer kind of way. But when she would dance around and rub her belly like she was so fond of doing? Mmm.
Faith comes along, and even before she turns evil she's characterized as the sexy bad girl. And it works. Very, very well.
The couple of AU episodes in S3 give Xander and Willow a chance to show their evil sexy sides, and boy do they do a good job at it. Willow is the perfect combination of badass with a side of creepishly cute, and her outfit is strangely awesome.
"Oh most dirty-naughty-feelings-causing one." That's Glory for ya. Crazy, superstrong, and gorgeous. And, as a bonus, she turns into hot-in-a-Ken-Doll-way Ben frequently, causing his character to spend a lot of screentime in a dress.
Andrew, Jonathan, and Warren aren't exactly what you'd call sexy, and they're not as evil as they think they are, but they're adorable and hilarious and therefore included in my picspam.
The end of S6 was another chance for Willow to show her dark side. Something about the Black hair, eyes, and the way she gains a whole new level of confidence make Dark!Willow quite hot.
I know he's a woman-hating jerk, but he's Nathan Fillion. And therefore sexy.
Moving on to Angel, where we find a whole new set of sexy villains.
Darla brings out a dark side of Angel's character in S2 that I kind of love, even though it disrupts the show a bit. Mostly, though, Julie Benz is just gorgeous.
We all know Wesley didn't sleep with her because of her charming personality.
Despite occasionally reminding me of Billy Ray Cyrus, Lindsey made for an interesting and sexy recurring villain. Also, the tattoos? Yes.
A woman must be incredibly sexy to have people bow down to her when there are maggots crawling from her face.
"Well then, what would you like passing through my lips?" Even before Lorne's spell, there was a certain amount of sexual tension between her and Angel. For obvious reasons.
Oddly concise, inhuman, with her intense eyes and cheekbones, blue hair, and leather insect suit? Illyria was a demon with many levels of sexiness. Also, she made the season a lot more interesting.
