Jack Shephard

Jack stan alert - I will forever defend this man and everything about him. I just think Jack is such a wonderful character. I love that his ~issues are just as potent as the other characters', despite being less dramatic (no blowing up of the father or conman past, etc). I love his hero complex and the way his backstory transforms him from the typical, one-dimensional hero into something much more intricate and relatable. I love his stubbornness and the way he's so adamant about sticking to his beliefs, unwavering. I love that when he breaks he breaks completely, does nothing halfway. I love bearded!Jack. I love that, when he gets back to the island he doesn't instantly transition from bearded to unbearded (by unbearded I'm talking about the mental state connected to the beard, not the actual facial hair, obvs), and that it takes him all of a season to slowly shape himself into what he used to be. I love that he goes from letting his fear and pain show to striving again to be that perfect image, and that the change isn't immediate. I love his relationship with each and every character. I love where he ends up. I love the way his character arc comes to a close. I love Jack okay.
